PanoGrama Entertainment (PE) is known for its virtual staging of steelpan competition, and its facilitation of online internships to benefit students from across the Caribbean. Today, the team is welcoming their newest intern, 21-year-old Jodia Givans, from the Caribbean School of Media and Communication (CARIMAC), at the University of the West Indies, Mona. She will fill the position of news writer.

The third-year student is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism.

During her interview with PE, Givans indicated that she is a calm, loving and dedicated individual who is very passionate about growth and development. The Jamaican also enjoys print media and is looking forward to creating news articles for the organization.

Givans expressed that she is excited to work with PanoGrama Entertainment, and is anticipating the third staging of PanoGrama.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to complete my internship at an organization where I will be able to display knowledge that I have learnt from CARIMAC. I am also looking forward to learning from the organization and get a feel of the world of work,” she said.

PE has a keen interest for development, and therefore provide youths with opportunities to grow while undertaking different roles. The organization also provides interns with the chance to receive various work experiences, while showcasing their knowledge and skills.

Meanwhile, Roach said he is grateful to have Givans on his team. “From our first meeting, Jodia showed a high level of professionalism. She is knowledgeable and well prepared to write articles for PanoGrama. This speaks to the quality that CARIMAC produces, and I look forward to working with her” he said.

Givans is expected to complete 160 work hours as required for the completion of her degree.
